Melissa Sykes has always had a passion for building relationships and helping others.
So, it comes to no surprise that she had chosen Human Resources as her career
choice. Melissa has held numerous positions in Human Resources with the most recent
three years in a director position. She thrives on collaboration, coaching/mentoring and
relationship building. She knows the importance of being an advocate for all people, understanding their wants/needs and following through to ensure their needs are met.

Melissa hails from the great state of Texas! She has made Northeast Ohio her home for
the last ten years. She currently resides in Cuyahoga Falls. In addition to Cuyahoga
Falls, Melissa has also resided in Silver Lake, Stow, and Munroe Falls. Prior to her
move to Ohio, she lived and worked in Denton, Texas. She was a 3 rd Grade Bilingual
teacher for eight years. Melissa holds an undergraduate degree from The University of
North Texas and has her master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University. Life is quite
busy for her! She has two young boys (6 and 10 years old) that are involved in ALL
sports! When she has “free time,” you can find her at Orange Theory catching a
workout class, watching a Dallas Cowboys football game, or spending quality time with
her children.

Being a realtor had always peaked Melissa’s interest, but it was never the right time to
pursue the career. However, as her children continue to grow, become more involved in
school and sports, it seemed like that time was NOW! She is looking for stability,
balance and flexibility as she grows and maintains a successful career as a realtor but
also be a mom!
